Neill Whittaker joined Ivy Legal in June 2014 as a Planning Associate.
Neill is a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and holds a master’s degree in Planning Policy and Practice. He is NAPE's committee representative for London & East of England.
Neill has over 10 years experience working in planning & planning enforcement, having previously managed the planning enforcement teams at Runnymede Borough Council, Hertsmere Borough Council and most recently at the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
Neill regularly competes in duathlons and triathlons.
Roderick joined Ivy Legal in August 2015 as a partner. He has more than 20 years’ experience as a solicitor, having previously been a partner at international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and an associate at Lovells (now Hogan Lovells).
Roderick studied at Lincoln College, Oxford and holds a degree and postgraduate qualifications in law.
A previous recipient of the Lawyer’s Hot 100 award, Roderick’s has brought his experience in managing large teams and matters to grow Ivy Legal’s integrated service.
In his spare time, Roderick is a keen musician, pilot and skier.
Ingrid Smith joined Ivy Legal in May 2016 as a Planning Associate.
Ingrid hold a Honours degree in Arts and Sciences with economics, town and regional planning as her main subjects. Ingrid has over 10 years of experience working in planning and managing a planning enforcement service, which included an extended portfolio managing a technical pollution team for over 12 months. Her achievements included multiple service improvements, increased financial independence, contributing to the award winning outcomes of the 'Beds in Sheds' project in Ealing and making full use of the powers available under POCA; winning for the Council confiscation awards in excess of £650,000.00.
In her free time Ingrid obsesses over interior design and is a keen biohacker.
Izindi Visagie is the Founder of Ivy Legal. She previously worked as planning lawyer at London Borough of Bromley, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Harrow Council, and what is now Howard Kennedy.
She is qualified to practice law in England and South Africa and holds an MBA from Cass Business School.
Izindi was shortlisted for the MBA Star of the Year award in the Women of the Future Awards 2013. In her spare time Izindi plays electric guitar and does clay sculpture from life.
Alex’s planning career began back in 2010 when he completed a planning support apprenticeship in a London Borough Council. Since then he has gained over 4 years experience working in planning and planning enforcement.
The Ivy Legal team is multi-disciplinary team made up of solicitors and planners:
